How 70 Years of Attachment Science Reshaped Fathers’ Role
Not too long ago, I wrote the first entry of my attachment myth-busting series. In this series, I aim at providing concise examples of the most prevalent myths surrounding attachment theory and science as well as more accurate and up-to-date explanations.
I am now revisiting some of my earlier attachment myth-busting posts. I am adding more details and depth, and I am checking whether my initial conclusions still hold.
My first re-examination was about the confusion surrounding ‘adult insecure-disorganised attachment’ — Lost in Translation: Disorganised Attachment. Make sure to have a look if you haven’t read it yet.
This time, as part of my second re-examination, I am focussing on dads’ role in attachment theory and science.
